Due to the revision and descriptions by Dias et al 2024 to the Corydoradinae sub family of Callichthyidae, CW155 and CW004 have turned out to be one and the same species and have been placed in Lineage 9, the "short-snouted" species with the designated type species: C. punctatus. The revision and description has constituted in the resurrection of the genus name Hoplisoma (Agassiz, 1846). Aquarium Care: This is akin to most of this genus, very peaceful, and would be best housed with small to medium tank mates such as Tetras, Rasboras and Danios or in a species tank for breeding purposes. Diet: A good quality flake food and tablet food for adults with sporadic feedings of frozen or live food will keep your Corydoras/Hoplisoma in good health. Remarks: This species is still found on some online sources as Corydoras sp. (CW155).
